Itinerary

Below you can find a summary breakdown of your day-by-day tour with us!

Day 1

Arrive in Padstow and Overnight

Arrive in Cornwall and check in to your Padstow hotel.

The afternoon consists of a hosted waking tour around the foodie haven of Padstow. Your choices for dinner are countless.

Day 2

The Saint’s Way (a full day entirely on foot)

Check out of your Padstow hotel.

Today we set off on our historical route tracing the probable steps of early Christian pilgrims making their way from Ireland and Wales to Brittany or Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, Spain. On this day we pass over the summit of St Breock Downs, through the sleepy little hamlet of Withiel, and end at Lanivet for the day, (the exact geographic centre of Cornwall).  Here you will have free time for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

The Saint’s Way (a full day entirely on foot)

Check out of your hotel and embark on the second half of the Saint’s Way.

Helman Tor / Lanlivery/ Golant and Fowey

Starting with a short detour from the Saints’ Way is the rocky outcrop of Helman Tor, the second highest elevation you will encounter on your route; it also gives its name to a five-hundred-acre nature reserve that includes the adjacent Red Moor and Breney Common. We then head through rural Lanlivery before following the River Fowey through the sleepy village of Golant on our way to Fowey.

Day 4

Exploring Fowey

Check out of your hotel.

Today includes a hosted walk through one of the most picturesque fishing communities in Cornwall. We will walk along the scenic esplanade and complete a short beach clean at Readymoney Cove before our final lunch before a transfer back to Padstow.
