A day experience from the port of Falmouth or Fowey
Join your Cornwall Discovered representative for a day of discovering the picturesque harbour towns of Pentewan and Mevagissey. First head for a morning in Mevagissey, famous for its fishing heritage and bustling streets and have the opportunity to meet a local fisherman and learn more about the importance of the industry within Cornwall. After enjoying a browse through the artisan shops and art galleries, a local Cornish fish and chip lunch is in order before heading to Pentewan. Upon arrival at Pentewan beach, there is the opportunity to relax, enjoy free time or participate in some sea glass searching, led by a local jewellery maker who will give some insight into the life of a Cornish gem searcher!
Join your Cornwall Discovered representative for a day of discovering two highlights of the Cornish Riviera. Our morning will be spent exploring the Georgian port of Charlestown, which recently featured in the BBC’s adaptation of the 1970's hit series Poldark. Alongside some time for browsing the unique arts and crafts shops and strolling around the harbour walls, this tour will feature a short enrichment session with a well-known local historian. After a local lunch we will take a scenic drive to Polkerris where you can enjoy an afternoon at the beach and choose from a range of activities should you wish to (weather permitting).
